Hello everyone,
This is my first post, so I have decided to tell you a little bit about myself. I'm 43 years old and gave birth to 2 children. My son Tyler was born on July 8. 1990 and weighed 10lbs 13 1/2ozs and 20 1/2 inches long and my daughter Madasyn was born August 24.1995 and weighed 11lbs 5 1/2ozs and 20 1/2 inches long. I raised my children as a single mom until 2004, when I met my soulmate. I met my soulmate in November of 2004 an since our first date we have never been apart. In September of 2006, we became one and I added 3 more children to my family. I now have 3 step daughters ages, 24, 22 and 21. So, my family went from 3 to 7 and I couldn't ask for more. In May of 2008 I received the most precious gift which is my grandson. He is my pride and joy. I work fulltime and I'm a fulltime student at Kaplan. I have attended Kaplan since 2010 and found returning to school to be rewarding. I work as an Activity Director/Wellness Coordinator in a retirement community. I work with the senior population and love my job. I'm a people person and find this to be my niche in life. My goal is to finish school and graduate with my bachelors degree in Health and Wellness. I looking forward to getting to know everyone!
Until next time.....
I think I may envy you a little bit lol my step daughters are 13 and 14 and only the 14 year old comes over every other weekend and actually adores me now, after working at this for the last four years! The 13 year old hasn't come over since last Halloween, she is very jealous of me and was causing chaos when she would visit because she wanted all of her dad's attention on her and not me. Any advice?
ReplyDeleteJada,
DeleteWhen me and my husband first met, my youngest step-daughter wouldn't have anything do with us. I just gave her time to adjust and eventually she came around and ended up living with us. Hang in there and stand your ground, Once she sees that her way isn't going to work she will see the light.
Kimberly,
ReplyDeleteWow it seems like you have a really wonderful busy life. Sometimes you probably to take a little realation break lol.
It seems like we have a lot of the same career goals. I think that is so awesome that you work as a wellness coordinator in a retirement home. We forget as you age being active is just as import as it was when you are younger.
I hope to get to know more about you.
Take care,
Leena
